El Salvador - Noruega

Origin Story – Finca Noruega, Ahuachapán, El Salvador

Nestled in the Ahuachapán mountain range of western El Salvador, Finca Noruega spans 43 acres of rich volcanic soil planted with exceptional coffee varieties—from classic Bourbon to the prized Geisha and distinctive Pacamara.

This farm is part of the Los Naranjos group, led by Sigfredo Corado, a retired agronomy professor from the National School of Agriculture. Sigfredo brings decades of experience to the region through the Renacer Program, a technical field school based directly at Finca Noruega. Supported by Raíces (Roots) and Catholic Relief Services, the program empowers local small and medium producers with hands-on training in regenerative, yield-boosting agricultural practices.

Classes are held twice a month at the farm, guided by Sigfredo and a team of six field technicians. Their approach centers on soil vitality through the “4 Rights” philosophy: Right Source, Right Dose, Right Place, Right Moment. This knowledge-sharing model ensures that the land thrives—and that the coffees grown here express remarkable clarity, complexity, and terroir.

Finca Noruega isn’t just a farm; it’s a hub of learning, sustainability, and community-driven progress in Salvadoran coffee.
